Small Group Training


Small Group Training offers a unique opportunity to explore a new dimension of fitness by merging Group Fitness with Personal Training. In a small group training session you can experience more individualized attention without sacrificing the camaraderie you find in traditional group fitness classes, it is the best of both worlds.

Our nationally recognized certified trainers focus on individual goals, progression and skill development. Group sessions last five to six weeks and meet one to three times a week depending on the type of class. Groups range between three to five people per class.

Class Descriptions

Chair Yoga

A Modified Yoga Class at HealthPlus Fitness

  • • Have you always wanted to try yoga, but don’t know where to start?
  • • Are you interested in a small group setting?
  • • Do you have trouble getting up from the floor with ease?
  • • Are you ready to work on strength and balance?

We will focus on balance, flexibility, mobility, and strength through yoga poses using a chair as a prop. Breathing techniques and exercises will increase relaxation to move beyond the physical postures. Class is 1 hour in length in a group setting. Class meets every Tuesday at 9:00 am in the training area near the track upstairs.

Fit in 30

Join this quick paced class to add cardio, strength, balance, and mobility into your exercise regimen. This 30-minute class packs a punch that uses our *MZS.

Keep an eye on your heart rate while wearing the MyZone heart rate monitor to ensure you’re getting the most out of your training.

Schedule Mondays and Fridays at 8AM
Focus on Flexibility

This class is specifically focused on improving joint range of motion. We work on foot, ankle, knee, hip, back, shoulder, and hand flexibility. All abilities welcomed.

Prices

  • Pay per class - $8 members / $12 non-members

Tai Chi for Arthritis & Fall Prevention

Originating in ancient China, Tai Chi is one of the most effective exercises for improving balance and health of mind & body. This class is easy to learn and immediately delivers its health benefits. Great class for all levels!

The class goal is to foster friendship through exercise while working all components of fitness. This group has several outings a year (usually active outings) outside of Health Plus.
