Clinical Small Group

Small Group Training offers a unique opportunity to explore a new dimension of fitness by merging Group Fitness with Personal Training. In a small group training session you can experience more individualized attention without sacrificing the camaraderie you find in traditional group fitness classes, it is the best of both worlds.

Our nationally recognized certified trainers focus on individual goals, progression and skill development. Group sessions last five to six weeks and meet one to three times a week depending on the type of class. Groups range between three to five people per class.

Class Descriptions

The Functional Movement Screen has been designed to assess mechanical factors of mobility and stability that are not well addressed during either a physical or standardized testing. The Functional Movement Screen simply demonstrates the quality of movement an athlete possesses to build all other athletic ability and skill. This Functional Movement Screen includes seven tests that assess mobility and stability.

  • Deep Squat
  • Hurdle Step
  • In-Line Lunge
  • Shoulder Mobility
  • Active Hamstring Flexibility
  • Trunk Stability Push-Up
  • Rotatory Stability

The Functional Movement Screen was designed to assist the strength and conditioning professional with an individualized exercise prescription that is tailored to the athlete’s movement strategy. The exercise routine should serve to enhance performance and prevent injury while improving the athlete’s functional deficits. It should be noted that this is not an orthopedic or sports medical exam, only a screening tool.

This class helps patients live better, feel stronger, and grow through the challenges of cancer and cancer treatment.

This class is supervised under an Exercise Physiologist, and is catered to individuals who have gone through Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation, or are Diabetic. The goal of this class is to continue to improve cardiovascular and pulmonary function and improve overall functional health.

Your heart and lungs work together as a team, and it is important that you continue to maintain a regular, scheduled exercise routine. Those that suffer from diabetes have an increased risk for heart disease, and exercise is one way to help prevent diabetes from getting worse, as well as minimizing your risk for Coronary Artery Disease.

Class Schedule
